The reading list

GHK-Cu bibliography

The culture experiment and the skin-penetration work are my starting points; the reviews widen the picture.

Culture and penetration experiments

Maquart and colleagues' collagen-synthesis experiment is the starting point for the collagen essay. It deals with human fibroblast cultures. Hostynek and colleagues' skin-layer study supplies the copper penetration and retention observations in the skin-barrier investigation; its human skin samples were studied outside the body.

Topical findings and tissue remodeling

The topical anti-wrinkle review supplies the procollagen comparison and the delivery discussion. The skin-regeneration review brings together the facial and matrix-synthesis findings. The broader tissue-remodeling review describes repair-related processes across multiple models, including human and animal work.

Gene activity

The gene-data review is relevant to the gene-expression detour in the facial-studies essay. I place more weight on its stated thresholds than on the largest shorthand number attached to it. Its database and cell-culture context matters throughout that discussion.
